Corrosion protection of steel assets using coating systems in water and wastewater treatment plants
This module discusses corrosion protection using coating systems for the protection of steel assets. Water and wastewater Infrastructure such as buildings, pipebridges, tanks, immersed and buried pipework, are likely areas where extensive corrosion can occur. Design standards, environmental evaluation, surface preparation, coating selection, repair-ability and cost considerations are used to generate robust coating specifications.
Selected examples of high performance protective coating systems are covered, along with a case history where QC inspection procedures are documented to achieve long term durability Altex is a provider of products and expertise for corrosion control of structural assets.
